Video
Transfer of video is a complex process, and there are options to consider. Our brief video project worksheet can help you organize and plan your project ahead of time.
Video Tape
Digital transfer to file or DVD. Formats available for conversion are mini DV, 8mm, VHS, VHS-C and Betamax. Basic editing of the final product involves picture and sound quality as well as eliminating serious glitches.
The cost per tape: $24.50 (up to two hours.) Copies are $9.50 each.
Film
Frame-by-frame transfer of 8mm (including Super 8mm) and 16mm film. Involves:
- cleaning and lubricating the film, thus rejuvenating it and producing increased clarity.
- taking a snapshot of each frame.
- knitting together these snapshots to create a video.
- editing for picture quality as well as the elimination of serious glitches.
The cost fo $0.30 per foot. For a small additonal fee, titles and background music can be added as well.
